It's great to see so many details create so little noise. The Walker Arts site is like an antidote to the increasing number of sparse and clean sites out there. All these tricks shouldn't work together, but through its careful and considered typography, this site pulls it off.

A Tumblr that has been transformed into a dynamic timeline. Although this example is very specific to its content, you could see this lovely scroll and reveal action applied to other timeline-based websites.
This site for choreographer Rosemary Butcher uses a simple timeline that acts as the navigation and a graphic representation of her career. The red line that remains on-screen as you scroll through is a great touch.
